Boac, Marinduque, Philippines —The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Management held a seminar entitled “Preparedness in Action: First Aid Essentials and Safety Protocols” on Thursday at the MSC Audio Visual Room (AVR) on April 18, 2024.
The seminar primarily aims to provide knowledge to HRM students to be safe in any situation especially if there is a fire. As the College of Business and Accountancy prepares to become responsive Human Resource Managers, they also have to care about occupational safety.
The program started with opening remarks by Assoc. Prof. Generoso E. Udanga, Human Resource Management (HRM) Program Head, followed by an inspirational message from the College Dean, Dr. Verna Liza L. Capiňa.
Guest speakers from the Bureau of Fire Protection of the Municipality of Boac led the presentation on First Aid and Safety Protocols beginning with a talk by BFP Officers SFO 1 Reden P. Portento, FO1 Jayson B. Sasota, FO1 Larry Jr. L. Soberano, and FO1 Janet Q. Ollagangi. They tackled topics that included Characteristics of Fire, Causes of Fire and Fire Preparedness.
