Marinduque, Philippines — The Marinduque State University held its 68th Commencement Exercises with the theme “Resilient Futures: Marinduque State University Graduates Living and Thriving Beyond Borders” attended by MarSU officials, faculty members, non-teaching personnel, Faculty Regent, Student Regent, and guests.

The first ever batch of MarSU graduates obtained their degrees and titles in consecutive ceremonies this week wherein MarSU Boac Campus held the ceremony at MarSU Gymnasium, Boac, Marinduque on July 16-17, 2024 with graduating students from Boac and Gasan Campuses while MarSU Torrijos held its ceremony on July 18, 2024 at Torrijos Stadium, Torrijos, Marinduque and MarSU Sta. Cruz Campus conducted its rites on July 19, 2024 at Sta. Cruz Municipal Gymnasium, Sta. Cruz, Marinduque.

The Commencement Speakers include Hon. Dr. Felizardo Colambo, Deputy Director-General of TESDA (Boac Campus Batch 1); Hon. Jimmy R. Catanes-Regional Director, CHED MIMAROPA (Boac Campus Batch 2); Prof. Dr. Pablito M. Magdalita-Professor, University of the Philippines (Torrijos Campus); and Hon. Marita R. Canapi-CHED Commissioner & Chairperson of MarSU-BOR (Sta. Cruz Campus).

Other distinguished guests and dignitaries graced the ceremonies comprised of Hon. Mayor Armi DC. Carrion-Boac Mayor, Hon. Michael Vincent Q. Velasco-Provincial Administrator who represented Hon. Lord Allan Q. Velasco and Hon. Governor Presbitero J. Velasco, Jr, and Hon. Primo Pamintuan-LGU Torrijos. On the other hand, the graduating class received pre-recorded congratulatory messages from Hon. Governon Presby Velasco and CHED Chairperson, Hon. J. Prospero E. De Vera III.

MarSU Class of 2024 has a total of 1, 764 students who are deemed as the first ever batch and pioneer graduates composed of 1, 390 from Boac Campus, 25 from Gasan Campus, 216 from Sta. Cruz Campus and 133 from Torrijos Campus.
