Odiongan, Romblon, Philippines — The Marinduque State University (MarSU) and Romblon State University (RSU) formalized their partnership today, February 19, 2025, through a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in RSU Campus, Odiongan, Romblon. The ceremony signifies the commitment to collaborative growth and advancement in higher education within the MIMAROPA region.

Representing MarSU were Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MarSU President) and Mr. Joshua M. Breganza (Information Officer II). On the other hand, RSU was represented by Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, CESE (RSU President), and Dr. Emelyn F. Montoya (Vice President for Academic Affairs). The presence of key leaders from both universities underscored the importance of this partnership and the shared vision for its success.

The MOU outlines a comprehensive framework for collaboration, focusing on several key areas. These include joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, sharing of resources and expertise, and the development of joint academic programs. Furthermore, the MOU emphasizes the development of collaborative support systems, such as joint workshops and seminars, which will benefit both faculty and staff.
