Bulacan, Philippines — To enhance its academic programs and internationalization efforts, Marinduque State University (MarSU) embarked on a benchmarking activity with Bulacan State University (BulSU) on February 21, 2025.

The visit brought together key officials and faculty members from MarSU and BulSU. The primary objective was to exchange best practices and innovative strategies that can be adopted to improve educational offerings and internationalization initiatives. The event also provided an opportunity for both universities to explore potential areas of collaboration, particularly in research and student exchange programs.

MarSU team was composed of Asso. Prof. Marvin P. Plata (MarSU Vice President, Student Affairs and Services), Maria Joan C. Ocampo (Head, OVPSAS Foreign/International Students Services Office), Asst. Prof. Jholey Rose L. Lancion (Head, International Relations Office), Hon. Nolasco P. Revilla (Student Regent), and John Carlo B. Mogol (Assistant to the Dean, Administrative Concerns).

BulSU received the team with welcoming remarks from Dr. Warlito M. Galita (Vice President for Academic Affairs) followed by the presentation of delegates and counterparts as well as presentation of practices.

The MarSU benchmarking team was grateful for the constant support of the administration led by Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MarSU President).

Both institutions are committed to maintaining an open channel of communication and exploring further avenues for collaboration. By learning from each other, they aim to elevate the standards of higher education in the Philippines and contribute to the nation’s development.

The benchmarking visit to Bulacan State University has provided Marinduque State University with valuable insights and practical strategies that will significantly contribute to its goals of academic excellence and internationalization. This collaborative effort serves as a testament to the power of shared knowledge and the collective pursuit of educational advancement.
