Quezon City, Philippines — The Marinduque State University (MarSU) Board of Regents convened for its third meeting on March 3, 2025, at the CHED Central Office in Quezon City.

The meeting was presided over by CHED Commissioner Hon. Marita R. Canapi (Chair, MarSU Board of Regents) along with MarSU President Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta (Vice-Chair, BOR) and the members of the Board, other members also joining via Zoom, addressing key administrative, financial, and academic matters essential to the university’s continued growth. The session began with the oath-taking of a new private sector representative, Hon. Rev. Fr. Ian R. Retardo.

The Board approved several financial and procurement matters, including the MarSU Financial Status Report for 2024, the Program of Receipts and Expenditures (PRE) for FY 2025, the Annual Procurement Plan (APP) for FY 2025, and the Projected Cash Utilization for the 1st and 2nd Quarters of 2025.

Additionally, the Board approved appointments and promotions of faculty members and the application of scrap and build scheme using SUC flexibility in the creation of three new faculty positions. Several items were also confirmed, such as the final list of candidates for the AY 2024-2025 midyear graduation, the university president and concerned officials travel for an international conference, the updated Tier 1 FY 2026 budget proposal, and the request for the release of tuition and other school fees for AY 2024-2025.

The meeting concluded with the adjournment of discussions, marking another step forward in MarSU’s institutional progress.
