Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) officially kicked off its MARSU I.D.E.A.L. Sports & Wellness Summer Camp 2025 on May 19, 2025 at the university gymnasium in Boac, with active participation from various government agencies across the province. The event runs from May 19 to 23, 2025, and centers on promoting health, discipline, and sportsmanship among participants from different sectors.

The summer camp is anchored on the I.D.E.A.L. values—Integrity, Discipline, Equality, Accountability and Leadership—and features a series of sporting events and wellness activities that bring together MarSU students, staff, and representatives from government agencies in a spirit of unity and friendly competition.

The opening ceremony began with a colorful parade, followed by an official program led by key university officials. Mr. Julie P. Rodelas, Project Leader, welcomed attendees with his opening remarks. Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, University President, delivered an inspirational message, emphasizing the role of sports in building leadership and resilience. The Oath of Sportsmanship was administered by Dr. Gerald M. Pajanustan, Director of the Sports and Wellness Unit.

A major attraction of the camp is the Inter-Agency Basketball Tournament, featuring teams representing various government offices, all competing in the name of teamwork, discipline, and fun. In the afternoon session, participants engaged in break-out training sessions for Futsal, Boxing, Arnis, and Dance Sports.
