Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — The Marinduque State University (MarSU) Board of Regents (BOR) convened for its 4th Regular Meeting at the Executive Lounge of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Quezon City on May 28, 2025.
Key highlights of the meeting included in-depth discussions on financial and fiscal matters, such as proposed financial plans for upcoming university projects. Administrative concerns were also addressed, including proposals to enhance institutional governance and operational efficiency, presented by Atty. Jandusay (VPAF). Additionally, under the academic developments, the Board reviewed new and existing academic programs and faculty development initiatives, including collaborations with foreign institutions, which were presented by VPSAS Asso. Prof. Plata and VPAA Asst. Prof. Magcamit.
The meeting also addressed items for confirmation, such as the appointment of concerned faculty members and administrative personnel, various memorandum of agreement for the implementation of on-the-job training (OJT), and other collaborative undertakings and various agreements for the implementation of research and extension projects.
Presided over by Hon. Marita R. Canapi, CHED Commissioner and Chairperson of the MarSU BOR, the meeting was attended by Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MarSU President and BOR Vice Chair), Dr. Maria Morena V. Santos (University & Board Secretary), Assoc. Prof. Marvin P. Plata (Vice President for Student Affairs and Services), Hon. Rev. Fr. Ian R. Retardo (Private Sector Representative), Hon. Joy R. Profugo (President of the MarSU Faculty Federation Inc.), and Hon. Nolasco P. Revilla (President of the SSC Federation Inc.), Hon. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi (Regional Director, CHEDIV-B) was represented by Mr. Gary Cepe, while Hon. Christopher R. Baňas (Member, MarSU BOR) was represented by Atty. Nicole Katrine S. Manlapid.
Further, other key officials who joined via online platform include Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay, (Vice President for Administration and Finance), Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé (Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training), Asst. Prof. Raoul J. Magcamit (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Atty. Hani Sipin, representing Rep. Lord Allan Q. Velasco; and Hon.
