Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — On May 30, 2025 Marinduque State University (MarSU), through its College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), proudly held its Clinical Graduation for Nursing Students at the University Gymnasium. The ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of the university’s future healthcare professionals.
The event commenced with a processional march led by the graduating students, faculty members, university officials, and the esteemed guest of honor. The solemn and celebratory tone of the ceremony was set by the MarSU ROTC Honor Guards.
The program formally began with Opening Remarks from Assoc. Prof. Julie P. Rodelas, Campus Director. This was followed by the Presentation of the CAHS Faculty of Instruction, led by Assoc. Prof. Marvin P. Plata, Dean of CAHS and Vice President for Student Affairs and Services. Ms. Joy V. Malilay, Associate Dean of CAHS and Program Head of BSN, then led the Presentation of Candidates for Clinical Graduation.
One of the most pivotal moments of the ceremony was the official confirmation of the clinical graduates by University President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta. Following the confirmation, UPDPZ delivered a heartfelt message to the graduating class:
“This Clinical Graduation is more than a ceremony—it is a celebration of your courage, your discipline, and your heart for service. You have demonstrated that you are ready not just to heal but to lead, to care, and to serve beyond borders. Let your journey be guided by the values of integrity, compassion, and lifelong learning. MarSU is proud of you—and we believe in the greatness you will bring into the world of healthcare.”
The keynote address was delivered by Hon. Zenaida Concepcion-Gagno, a respected member of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Board of Nursing. In her speech, she praised the dedication and resilience of the graduating class and emphasized the essential role of compassion, ethics, and continuous learning in the nursing profession.
A Plaque of Appreciation was then presented to the keynote speaker in recognition of her valuable insights and contributions to the occasion. The program continued with the awarding of certificates of completion and the donning of the sablay, symbolizing the official recognition of the students’ clinical achievements.
The class response was delivered by Ms. Julianne Vhiera J. Lubay, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the university, faculty, and families who supported the graduates throughout their academic journey. Asst. Prof. Raoul J. Magcamit, Vice President for Academic Affairs, also extended his warm greetings and congratulations to the graduating class.
The celebration featured musical interludes, student leadership awards, and touching tributes from faculty and parents, creating an atmosphere of pride and reflection. As these graduates step forward to pursue licensure and enter the professional world of healthcare, MarSU stands proud of its role in shaping not only competent and knowledgeable professionals but also individuals deeply rooted in the core values of integrity, compassion, and service.
