Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — On June 19, 2025, Marinduque State University continued its Faculty In-Service Training 2025 with an enriching session delivered by Asst. Prof. Gideon Legaspi (Associate Director, University Research Office, DLSU-D), who served as the day’s esteemed resource speaker. His lecture focused on the Integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Local Context in Instructional Materials, emphasizing the importance of aligning educational content with global priorities and regional realities.

Through engaging discussions and practical examples, participants explored strategies for embedding the SDGs into their curricula while incorporating the unique cultural, environmental, and socio-economic characteristics of the province. The session encouraged faculty members to design instruction that not only meets academic standards but also cultivates social responsibility, sustainability, and local relevance among learners.
