Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) President Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta highlighted the institution’s renewed commitment to academic excellence during its regular Monday flag raising ceremony on August 18, 2025, hosted by the College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), under the leadership of Dean Dr. Verna Liza Capiña.
Recently, PDPZ participated in the first AACCUP Presidents’ Summit in Manila with Quality Assurance Director Asst. Prof. Raoul Magcamit, and PMS Chief Assc. Prof. Alfredo M. Ofrecio III. PDPZ shared that the gathering of state university and college leaders, graced by CHED Chairperson Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis and House Committee on Higher and Technical Education Chairperson Cong. Jude Acidre, underscored the importance of strengthening higher education through quality assurance. To put this into action, he announced the release of Office of the President Memorandum No. 175, s. 2025, which outlines six priority initiatives: a review of the University grading system, institutional sustainability assessment, micro-credentialing programs, exploration of transnational education, ETEEAP implementation, and integration of CHED’s ACHIEVE Framework into MarSU’s strategic plan.
“These initiatives mark a new chapter in our collective journey toward more inclusive, meaningful, and human-centered education,” PDPZ said, calling on faculty, staff, and students to work together in strengthening MarSU’s role as a globally competitive and community-rooted university.
