Quezon City, Philippines — The Marinduque State University (MarSU) Board of Regents (BOR) convened its 5th Regular Meeting on September 9, 2025, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office, Diliman, Quezon City.
The meeting commenced with the oath-taking of the newly elected President of the MarSU Alumni Federation, Inc. Hon. Carmencita D.L. Laus. The Board deliberated on key agenda items concerning financial, administrative, academic, research and extension matters.
Presiding over the meeting was Hon. Marita R. Canapi, CHED Commissioner and Chairperson of the MarSU Board of Regents. The session was attended by Hon. Edna Imelda F. Legazpi, CHED MIMAROPA Regional Director; Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, University President and Vice Chairperson of the BOR; Atty. Ruther Adrian F. Bagagnan, Supervising Legislative Staff of the Office of Sen. Allan Peter Cayetano; Hon. Jerry B. Mercado, OIC-Regional Director, DOST MIMAROPA; Hon. Joy R. Profugo, President of the MarSU Faculty Federation, Inc.; Hon. Nolasco P. Revilla, President of the MarSU Supreme Student Council Federation, Inc.; Hon. Fr. Ian R. Retardo, Private Sector Representative; Hon. Carina J. Motol, Private Sector Representative; Dr. Maria Morena V. Santos, University and Board Secretary; Atty. Crispin M. Jandusay, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Asso. Prof. Marvin P. Plata, Vice President for Student Affairs and Service; Asso Prof. Alfredo M.
