Torrijos, Marinduque, Philippines — MarSU Torrijos Campus celebrated its Agri Week 2025 from September 1–5, 2025, with the theme: “Rooted in Purpose, Growing the Future: Youth Powering the Next Harvest.” The event highlighted innovation, sustainability, and collaboration while showcasing the energy and creativity of MarSU students.

The week began with seminars from the Guidance and Counseling Office on study habits, time management, and stress management, followed by a Basic Life Support training with the College of Allied Health Sciences.

Day 2 sparked excitement and creativity with Zumba session, Coconut Game and contests like Organic Painting, Demo Farm Landscaping, UMBB Making, Concoction Making, and Seed Testing, by encouraging students to explore sustainable ideas for farming. Academic competitions in the afternoon, including the Agri Quiz, Seed and Weed Identification, and Fertilizer Computation, pushed students to apply classroom knowledge in real-life agricultural challenges.

On the third day, students gained global perspectives through a talk by Val Jian, a 4th year Bachelor in Agricultural Technology student who shared his experience at the AAACU Summer Enrichment Program in Northern Samar. His stories of sustainable farming and cultural exchange inspired students to embrace their role in addressing global issues. Day 4, meanwhile, was filled with music and dance performances, showcasing the talent and unity of the MARSU community.

The celebration wrapped up with meaningful environmental efforts as students and faculty of the College of Agriculture joined a tree planting and coconut fertilization activity. At the same time, BAT-4A and BAT-4B students partnered with the Local Government Unit in Barangay Marlangga for mangrove planting.

Agri Week 2025 showed that MarSU Torrijos is not only cultivating future agriculturists but also nurturing leaders rooted in sustainability, innovation, and community service. By carrying the spirit of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 3, 9, 11, 13, and 15—the MarSU community are proving that with purpose as their foundation, they are ready to power the next harvest: one that is greener, healthier, and more sustainable for all.
