Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — As part of the CSC’s 125th Anniversary, MarSU held a round-table discussion on September 15, 2025, with the theme “Building a Mentally Healthy University: Challenges, Coping, and Collective Action” at the MarSU Admin Building’s Conference Room.

The program brought together a selection of faculty, and non-teaching employees of Marinduque State University to discuss mental health awareness.
University President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, delivered a short inspirational message to welcome the guests and participants.

The program featured talks from a panel of guest experts: Ms. Myla E. Estopace, Dr. Lucille D. Evangelista, and Dr. Ma. Arlene G. Briones-De Veyra, where they shared valuable insights on the challenges faced by the academic community, effective coping strategies, and the importance of collective action in fostering a supportive environment. Discussions also centered on the vision of mental health advocacy, emphasizing that wellness begins with clear goals and objectives. This vision serves as the driving force in making MarSU a better and mentally sound institution.

Aside from the round table discussion on Mental Health, the resource persons also provided consultation and short discussion on Workplace Burnout to interested employees at the MarSU Lounge.
