Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) officially opened the 28th Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) Olympics 2025 with a vibrant parade, formal opening program, and cultural demonstrations held this morning at the MarSU Multi-purpose Sports Complex, Boac Main Campus.

With this year’s theme, “Isang Puso, Isang Kalaro: Kabataang Atleta ng STRASUC sa Puso ng Pilipinas, Nagkakaisa para sa Bayan at Tagumpay”, the Olympics aimed to emphasize unity, sportsmanship, and collective aspiration for excellence.

The opening also featured a dynamic cultural mass demonstration and welcome salvo led by MarSU performers, showcasing the island’s vibrant heritage. With the ceremonial torch lighting and raising of the STRASUC flag, the university marked the official start of the week-long games, setting the tone for a spirited and meaningful STRASUC Olympics 2025.
