27 October 2022 | The Heart of the Philippines this week became the point of convergence for scientists and luminaries in the fields of anthropology and related social sciences from prestigious institutions here and abroad as they engage their fellow scholars and academics in what is to be the first ever landmark international conference being hosted by Marinduque State College.

The blended 3-day confab was opened by MSC President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta who welcomed the online and onsite participants that included guests from national and international universities, while Provincial Administrator Michael Velasco delivered a special message on behalf of Hon. Governor Presbitero J. Velasco, Jr.

The event is co-organized and jointly sponsored by the Philippine Social Science Council, UP Diliman, Department of Anthropology, the Provincial Government of Marinduque, and the Municipalities of Boac, Sta. Cruz, and Gasan.
