Mogpog, Marinduque, Philippines — In a fitting culmination of what has been an auspicious year, the College of Information and Computing Sciences embarked on an R & E Capability Development & Team Building activity at the Guisian Cove Resort in Guisian, Mogpog on November 16, 2024. Aptly themed: “Excellence in Action, Building Capabilities, Empowering Teams, Driving Innovation”, this year’s get together served as a means for the CICS team to look back on its achievements and envision what the future could hold.

With CICS Dean Dr. Ronjie Mar Malinao at the helm, the group was also joined by MarSU officials, among them: VPRD Prof. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé, VPAA Asst. Prof Raoul J. Magcamit, and resource speaker, Prof. Paloma De Chavez who gave a talk on “Best Practice in Securing Research Grants and Funding Agencies.” This was followed by their high-energy team building exercises.

Day 2 of the CICS year-ender saw the College sharing their blessings as they distributed gifts to Day Care Pupils at Barangay Argao in Mogpog that brought cheer to the children and the community as well.

A wonderful way to end the year indeed!
