Samar, Philippines — Marinduque State University proudly joins the 2025 AAACU Summer Enrichment Program, with Val Jiann Ricafrente, a fourth-year Bachelor in Agricultural Technology (BAT) student from the College of Agriculture, representing the institution in a transformative learning journey held at the University of Eastern Philippines, Northern Samar from July 20 – August 2, 2025. The program brought together passionate learners and emerging leaders from member institutions of the Association of Asian Agricultural Colleges and Universities (AAACU) for a vibrant exchange of insights, culture, and collaboration.

Val Jiann’s participation marked a vibrant contribution to the university’s commitment to holistic development, cross-cultural understanding, and academic excellence. Through workshops, cultural immersions, and interdisciplinary engagement, the program enriched not only minds, but spirits and communities alike.

The program offers students a unique opportunity to explore agricultural advancements and foster intercultural connections across Asia through experiential learning through visits to farms, research centers, experimental stations, and agro-industrial sites, offering participants a dynamic glimpse into the agricultural landscape of Northern Samar. In this enriching overseas and multi-cultural study environment, students like Val Jiann deepened their insights, broadened their perspectives, and cultivated connections that transcend borders.
