Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) has taken a significant step toward enhancing collaboration with local agricultural organizations through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on March 14, 2025, at the University President Conference Room, Boac Campus. This agreement officially establishes a partnership between MarSU, Mongpong Arrowroot Growers’ Association (MAGA), and Bahi Agriculture Cooperative (BAC).

The ceremony was attended by MarSU President Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, along with Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé (Vice President for Research and Extension), Dr. Michael V. Capiña (Project Leader), and Atty. Arlene Retardo (MarSU Legal Officer). Representing the local agricultural community were Ms. Editha R. Napeñas (MAGA Chairperson) and Mr. Wilfredo Nazareno (BAC Chairperson), along with other members and staff who witnessed and signed the agreement.

As part of the ceremony, a visitation and benchmarking session was conducted at the BAC Food Processing Center. Facilitated by the CBA Project Management Team, this activity provided participants from both BAC and MAGA with valuable insights into modern processing techniques and best practices in food production.
