Pasay City, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) earned national recognition for its leadership in global engagement as University President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, received the International Ranking Awards at the Internationalization Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025 on December 10, 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

Under PDPZ’s visionary leadership, MarSU earns placements in two internationally respected 2025 ranking systems: Rank 1501+ in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings and Rank 330 in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

PDPZ recognizes the tireless efforts of the International Linkages Office, led by Assoc. Prof. Jholey Rose L. Lancion and Assoc. Prof. Raoul J. Magcamit, and commends the dedication of faculty, staff, and students who actively advance MarSU’s presence beyond local and regional boundaries. The award not only validates the university’s achievements but also inspires further expansion of international partnerships and contributions to global education.

The ICONS Awards 2025 ceremony features a formal program with opening rites, institutional presentations, and messages from national leaders. A highlight of the event is the address of CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, who underscores the crucial role of Philippine universities in promoting internationalization and nation-building.
