Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, employees and students of Marinduque State University (MarSU) laced up for the “Fun Run for a Cause” held on September 5, 2025, championing both wellness and public service.
With full support from University President Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, the event highlighted MarSU’s commitment to servant leadership and community impact. Participants raced through 4K and 7K routes, with top male finishers for 4K ranking 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and 4K top female finishers rank 1st and 2nd from MarSU participants, receiving medals and certificates in recognition of their grit and spirit. Mr. Ardy Malimata (Support Staff, Sports and Wellness Office) bagged the 1st Place for 7K men.
More than just a race, the event carried a deeper mission: proceeds will benefit local schools, Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), and Bahay Kalinga—underscoring the theme of running with purpose.
The activity echoed the national celebration’s call for servant-heroes, as MarSU proudly joined the movement to uplift lives through solidarity, service, and stride.
