Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — In its first-ever participation, MarSU has been officially ranked in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2025, placing Rank 330 among the Top 400 Global Innovative Universities and 1,253 participating higher education institutions around the world.

Even more remarkably, MarSU was also ranked among the Top 100 Universities globally in three innovation categories:

  • Rank 32 – Ethics and Accountability
  • Rank 40 – Industrial Application
  • Rank 51 – Funding for Sustainability

This international recognition stands as a testament to the bold, transformative leadership of our University President, Prof. Dr. Disdado P. Zulueta and the steadfast cooperation of our academic community, the Board of Regents, administrators, faculty, students, alumni, staff, and partners, who work hand-in-hand to elevate MarSU’s standards of excellence and innovation.

This feat is made even more meaningful as it follows MarSU’s recent first-time inclusion in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, further strengthening our visibility on the global higher education map.

These back-to-back milestones reaffirm our shared commitment to our vision of becoming a globally-recognized university—one that upholds ethical responsibility, fosters meaningful innovation, and advances sustainable development through inclusive, quality education.
