Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Forty eight days to go, and Marinduque State University’s President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta during this morning’s flag-raising ceremonies, unveiled the tarpaulin declaring the start of the countdown to the 2025 STRASUC Olympics that will be held in Marinduque for the second time in 18 years – the first one was in 2007. This historic occasion will be hosted by Marinduque State University with the cooperation of its valued partners and stakeholders.

Together with Pres. Zulueta at the unveiling were VPAA Dr. Leodegario M. Jalos, VPSAS Assoc. Prof. Marvin P. Plata, MarSU Sports & Wellness Director Dr. Gerald M. Pajanustan, and Boac Campus Director Assoc. Prof. Julie P. Rodelas.

Right after the simple rites, MarSU students and officials carrying their own precious contributions of “carabao” grass patches, marched to the central oval to pave it, creating a vast verdant carpet that would welcome our guest athletes from 11 universities in the region, when the games begin on November 23, 2025.
