Boac, Marinduque — In a significant stride toward regional advancement, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MarSU President), joined key stakeholders in the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Marinduque Provincial Government and Metro Pacific Investment Corporation (MPIC), held on August 28, 2025 at the Session Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Bangbangalon, Boac.
The MOA signing, presided over by Vice Governor Romulo Bacorro Jr., was attended by key provincial officials and partners, including Provincial Administrator Engr. Norberto Malapajo Jinang and Kaluppa Foundation Executive Director Rafael Seño. MPIC was represented by its President, Ms. Melody M. Del Rosario, Program Manager Mr. William Barry Codera, and other staff.
In his message, PDPZ reaffirmed MarSU’s strong commitment to supporting the Provincial Government, pledging initiatives for students, strengthening community unity, and upholding the university’s role in youth development.
“MPIC’s corporate social responsibility programs are a big help to our province. As representatives from the academe, we pledge 100% support to the Provincial Government,” PDPZ said.
The signing also marked the beginning of MPIC’s “Shore It Up Weekend” (August 29–30, 2025), which will feature a coastal and underwater cleanup, training sessions for new Marine Guardians, the Junior Environmental Scouts program for children, and medical teleconsultations in selected barangays.
The event concluded with both MarSU and MPIC affirming their commitment to future collaborations that will benefit the youth, environment, and communities of Marinduque.
