Marinduque, Philippines — The Marinduque State University has been recognized by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) MIMAROPA Regional Office for achieving the highest Budget Utilization Rate (BUR) among State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the MIMAROPA Region for Fiscal Year (FY) 2024, with an impressive utilization rate of 98.29%. This honor was announced during the online Agency Performance Review (APR) Conference on March 10, 2025.

This outstanding achievement reflects the efficiency, transparency, and dedication demonstrated under the stewardship of Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MarSU President) together with the Vice President for Administration & Finance, Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay and Asso. Prof. Alfredo M. Ofrecio III (Director, Financial Services) whose strategic oversight and judicious management of resources have ensured that every peso spent by the university has been maximized to its fullest potential, significantly contributing to the betterment of the institution and the community it serves.
