Lucena City, Quezon, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU) continues to advance its commitment to quality assurance and educational innovation through strategic benchmarking initiatives. On December 1, 2025, MarSU’s Benchmarking Team visited Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) in Lucena City to study the implementation of the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
The benchmarking activity provided MarSU with valuable insights into MSEUF’s operational frameworks, accreditation processes, and student support systems, which will guide the University in strengthening its own academic offerings.
With full support from MarSU President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, the MarSU delegation was composed of Dr. Leodegario M. Jalos, Jr. (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Engr. Melito Hirondo (Dean of the College of Engineering), Dr. Keam Eric L. Malabayabas (Dean of the College of Governance), Assoc. Prof. Mario Mascarenas (Dean of the College of Industrial Technology), Ms. Gemma Tirol (University Registrar) and Mr. Vien Llaneta.
On the other hand, MSEUF was composed of Dr. Benilda N. Villenos (Vice President for Academics & Research), Dr. Jennifer B. Reyes (Global Engagement Office Director), Mr. Rodrigo Belleza Jr. (Dean, College of Computing & Multimedia Studies), Dr. Claudia Odette Ayala (Dean, College of Arts & Sciences), Engr. Cielito V. Maligalig (Dean, College of Engineering), Dr. Henedina A. Lagumen (Dean, College of Criminal Justice & Criminology). Dr. Divina T. Glifonea (Dean, College of Education), Ms. Lizaminda Regodon (Registrar) and Mr. Celso D. Jaballa (Vice President for External Relations).
Through this initiative, MarSU aims to expand opportunities for professionals in Marinduque and nearby provinces to complete degrees without leaving their workplaces, while integrating industry-based competencies into academic curricula.
