Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — Marinduque State University (MarSU), through its College of Industrial Technology, formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority – Buyabod School of Arts and Trade (TESDA-BSAT) on August 14, 2025 to solidify a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening technical-vocational education and community development initiatives in the province.
This collaboration is anchored on CIT’s community extension program, “Lingkod Para sa Kaunlaran na may Puso (Programa at Ugnayan ng Sambayanang Organisado),” which seeks to deliver inclusive, skills-based training to support employment, entrepreneurship, and local capacity-building.
The program will implement the following projects:
- Project SULONG – Driving, maintenance, and vehicle repair
- Project PINTA – Technical drawing, AutoCAD, and construction painting
- Project ILAW – Electrical work, diagnostics, and solar technology
- Project HINANG – Welding and tool maintenance
- Project HAPAG-KABUHAYAN – Food processing, preservation, and livelihood support
This MOA signifies the mutual commitment of both institutions to empower marginalized sectors, including the unemployed, underemployed, and out-of-school youth, by providing them with relevant, accessible, and quality technical education.
The agreement shall be in effect for a period of three (3) years, with the goal of promoting sustainable and inclusive growth across communities in Marinduque.
