Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — As part of its efforts to expand academic partnerships and foster research collaboration, a delegation from De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) paid a courtesy call on Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta, President of Marinduque State University (MarSU) on May 26, 2025 at the MarSU OP Conference Room, Boac, Marinduque.

PDPZ warmly welcomes the team, composed of faculty members from the College of Science and the Physical Science Department. Joining Prof. Zulueta were key officials: Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé (Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training), Dr. Evangeline M. Mandia (Research Director) and Ms. Jholey Rose R. Leano-Lancion (International Relations Office Director).

Prof. Zulueta shared his vision for a more integrated research network among Philippine higher education institutions, particularly those focused on advancing community-based science and education. He commended DLSU-D for its dedication to regional engagement and welcomed the prospect of meaningful joint initiatives.

Following the courtesy visit, the program formally opened with welcoming remarks from Assoc. Prof. Marvin P. Plata, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, and Dr. Blasé. Asst. Prof. Gideon A. Legaspi, RCh, Associate Director of the DLSU-D University Research Office, then presented the current research priorities and projects of the Physical Science Department. This was followed by a presentation from Dr. Mandia.

The event also featured a Research Collaboration Exploratory Talk, where faculty and researchers from both universities engaged in dynamic discussions on potential joint research projects, external grant applications, and opportunities for student research engagement.
