Boac, Marinduque—The Philippine National Police – Explosive Ordinance Disposal and Canine Group (PNP-EOD/K9) Group, in partnership with Marinduque State University (MarSU), spearheaded the Project ABKD: Bomb Threat Awareness Seminar on December 2, 2025 aimed at strengthening campus safety and preparedness among students, faculty, and staff.

The activity, held at the university’s main campus, comes in the wake of recent bomb threats targeting higher education institutions (HEIs) nationwide, which have forced class cancellations and severely disrupted campus operations. Recognizing the gravity of these incidents, the seminar sought to equip the MarSU community with practical knowledge on recognizing bomb threats, proper response actions, reporting procedures, and safety to minimize casualties and damage to property.

With full support from Prof. Dr. Diosdado Zulueta (MarSU President), Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay (Vice President for Admin & Finance) emphasized in his message that this activity aligns with MarSU’s commitment to safeguard its academic community while fostering a culture of awareness and resilience.

The interactive session organized by Campus Director, DRRM, and Security Services Unit was attended by faculty members, personnel and CCJE students. This collaboration between MarSU and the PNP underscores the importance of institutional readiness and community partnership in addressing modern security challenges.
