Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — MSC celebrated the 4th National Higher Education Day with the theme, “CHED @ 30, Transformative and Resilient Philippine Higher Education” at MSC’s Main AVR, Tanza, Boac, Marinduque on May 17, 2024 in a program hosted by Ms. Nikka J. Adling.

This activity is in line with the week-long celebration of the Commission on Higher Education for its 30th Foundation Anniversary.

The celebration started with the opening remarks of Asso. Prof. Alfredo M. Ofrecio III, Chief Presidential Management Staff followed by the official message of the MSC President, Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta.

Afterwards, Ms. Maria Morena V. Santos, College and Board Secretary facilitated the Ceremonial Signing of BOT Approved Contracts which includes the (1) Improvement of Civil Engineering Laboratory Equipment, (2) Improvement of Mechanical Engineering Laboratory Equipment and (3) Enhancement of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Laboratory. In return, words of gratitude were delivered by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Engr. Melito L. Hirondo. This was then followed by the Recognition of Colleges for the Remarkable Success of their Graduates in the Licensure Examinations, led by Asst. Prof. Raoul J. Magcamit, VP for Academic Affairs.

Meanwhile Asso. Prof. Dr. Menandro M. Merlin, Director of Institutional Quality Assurance led the Commendation for Accreditation Task Force in the recently concluded Survey Visits by the AACCUP. Also, the Commendation to Faculty Coaches and Students who won in Provincial, Regional and National Academic Related Competitions was presented by Asso. Prof. Marvin P. Plata, VP for Student Affairs and Services.

The event was attended by MSC Officials, College Deans, Program Heads, Faculty and Mr. Jose E. Marquez Lim, State Alliance Enterprises Inc., supplier for the three projects mentioned earlier. The event concluded with the closing remarks from Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay, VP for Administration and Finance.
