MSC Culture and Arts re-organized Theater Guild, Litera Club and Brass Band under the
auspices of MSC Kalinangan at Sining Dulaan, Panitikan and Musika. MSCCA also consolidated
the output from the Kalinga ng SIning into a learning toolkit composed of audio CDs, video,
booklets and hardbound copies of 500 heritage items from MarinduQuezon. The highlight of
the MSCCA accomplishment is mounting of Getsemani, an online theater production and being
part of the Asean University Network for Culture and Arts. Based on the MSC core objective to
imbed the unique Marinduque Culture by incorporating it across all curricula and the four-fold
functions of the college. MSCCA was able to participate in the cultural mapping of the LGU of
Gasan from the training in February and the launching of the local culture profile by December.
The said unit also participated in the BOAC 399th Foundation week and completed level 3 of
Museum Management Training. MSCCA was also tapped by the National Commission for
Culture and the Arts with the production of Moryonan bulaklakan documentary. Moreover,
MSCCA also participated during the British Council’s Drivers of Change. Likewise, the unit was
involved with the LGU Mogpog’s retooling of cultural mapping. The MSCCA Head was able to
attend the Kaagi (London), Hugpungan (Manila), Ub-Ufok (Hawai’i), Japan Young Scholars
Forum on Philippine Studies. Finally, MSCCA is also involved with the Graduate Diploma in
Cultural Education in Mimaropa serving teacher-scholars in Romblon, Oriental Mindoro and
Marinduque.
