Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — As part of the ongoing Smart Campus Project of Eastern Visayas State University, the EVSU team composed of Mr. Raymond Elorde (CMT I), Mr. Minard Valida (ISA I), Mr. Scott Johnson Amor (ISA II), and Mr. Raymond Daylo (ITO I) visited Marinduque State University for a benchmarking activity on October 28-31, 2024.

Admiring the significant advancements of MarSU in Smart Campus, the visit aims to understand Smart Campus infrastructure’s design and implementation processand explore the technologies and systems used in smart classrooms, campus-wide connectivity, and data management.

The group also discussed challenges and successes encountered during the deployment of smart technologies and explored potential collaborations or partnerships between our institutions in the field of ICT development.

The team was welcomed by MarSU President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta together with Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay (Vice President for Administration & Finance) and Mr. Wilbert Benedicto.

The team fruitfully exchanged invaluable insights about the development and implementation of similar initiatives of MarSU and EVSU with helpful tips from Atty. Jandusay and Mr. Benedicto for the seamless implementation of the project.

Also present during the visit were key personnel from Lancaster Development and Technology Corporation, which is the supplier of MarSU’s Smart Campus Project.

After the courtesy visit to PDPZ and discussion, the team visited the facilities and systems of MarSU assisted by the MarSU ICTSC.
