Boac, Marinduque – Ang nag-iisang Pamahalaang Paaralan sa Lalawigan ng Marinduque (MSC) ay magdiriwang ng Platinum na Anibersaryo o 70 taong pagkakatatag, may temang “MSC@70 MSC sa Ika-pitumpong taon – tungo sa isang pamantasang may kaganapang institusyonal, katalinuhang may pitagan at taos na paglilingkod sa sangkatauhan.” Upang pasinayaan ang okasyon, magkakaroon ng pagtatanghal ang MSC Integrated High School (IHS) Drum and Lyre Ensemble kasama ang MSC Marching Band sa Lunes, Hunyo 20.  Magkakaroon din ng ng pagbubukas ng mga puwesto sa MSC Auxiliary ang mga inobatibo, malikhain at abanteng mga gawang-sining at produkto mula sa apat na paaralan ng MSC: College of Engineering, Industrial and Information Technology (CEIIT); College of Natural and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS); College of Accountancy, Business & Governance (CABG); kasama ang College of Education, Arts & Social Sciences (CEASS). Pagkaraan ng salu-salo sa tanghalian, magkakaroon ng “The Great Filipino Work-out” at isang exhibition game sa paggitan ng MSC Faculty Federation at MSC Administrative Employees Association  sa MSC Gymnasium para sa palaro ng basketball at volleyball.

Samanatala, kinabukasan, ang mga empleyado, kaguruan, opisyal ng kolehiyo, mag-aral at buong komunidad ay kasama sa motorcade sa pag-iikot ng pamanang bayan ng Boac. Pagkaraan ay magkakaroon ng banal na misa sa MSC gym. Pagkatapos ay magkakaroon ng pagbabasbas ng CEASS Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) at Senior High School (SHS) building. Bago ang pinakatampok na gawain ng platinum na anibersaryo ay ang pagbubukas ng Local Heritage Tour at MSC Museum na may eksibit tungkol sa paglalakbay ng MSC dati bilang MSAT, MIST at sa hinaharap ay MarSU.

Ang pinakamahalagang kaganapaan sa okasyon ng ika-70 taong pagkakatatag ng MSC ay ang pagbibigay parangal sa mga naging Officer-in-Charge, naging pangulo, kumatha ng batas at katangi-tanging nagtapos sa MSC. Ang anibersaryo ng MSC ay hindi kumpleto kung walang cultural night at hapunan para sa mga bisita ng kolehiyo.

Ang iba pang kaugnay na mga gawain para sa pagdiriwang ng ika-70 taong pagkakatatag ng MSC ay ang mga sumusunod: ang “HIbla Local Filipina kasama ang Book Nook Marinduque. Dinaos ang Summer Art Workshop na ito sa MSC Extramural Study Center sa Brgy. Capayang, Mogpog, Marinduque simula noong Mayo 30 at 31 kasama si Mam Lanie Malinao, session 3 at 5 tungkol sa drawing at illustration na pinadaloy ni Sir Gerry Lacdao, sa sumunod na dalawa pang session kasama si Sir Dench Ibahan noong June 13-14 tungkol sa animation at basic video editing. Nagkaroon din ng Joint-Seminar ng ang Marinduque Studies Center at Cavite Studies Center noong June 1-3 bilang bahagi ng technical assistance mula sa Pambansang Komisyon para sa Kultura at mga Sining (NCCA) at Pambansang Komisyon sa Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas (NHCP).  Samantala, noong Mayo 16 ay nagkaroon ng Conversation on Conservation kasama ang mga arkitekto mula sa Marinduque National High School, National Museum, Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Boac, maging sa MSC at pribadong sektor.

Ang Marinduque State College ay nagdiriwang ng ika70 taon ng pagkakatatag simula noong Marinduque School of Arts and Trades (MSAT) mula 1952 hanggang 1983. Sinunandan ito ng Marinduque Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) mula 1983 hanggang 1992 at sinundan ng pagiging MSC mula 1992 hanggang 2019 kung saan nagkaroon na ng batas para sa konbersiyon sa Marinduque State University (MarSU) sa pag-apruba ng RA 11334.


Platinum Anniversary of MSC set for June 20-21, recognizing Maturity, Service and Courtesy

Boac, Marinduque – Marinduque State College (MSC) would be celebrating its 70 th foundation by June 21 with the theme “MSC@70: Gearing Towards a University with Institutional Maturity, Genuine Service to Humanity and Intellectual Courtesy.” To commemorate this occasion there would be an opening performance by the MSC Integrated High School (IHS) Drum and Lyre Ensemble with the MSC Marching Band by Monday, June 20. Then there will be an opening of stalls showcasing the innovative, creative and cutting-edge artworks and products of the four colleges of MSC: College of Engineering, Industrial and Information Technology (CEIIT); College of Natural and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS); College of Accountancy, Business & Governance (CABG) along with the College of Education, Arts & Social Sciences (CEASS) at the auxiliary building. After lunch, there would be “The Great Filipino Work-out” and an exhibition game between the Faculty (MSCFF) and Administrative Employees (MSCAAP) at the MSC gymnasium.

Moreover, on the day itself, MSC employees, faculty members, college officials, students and the whole community would be having a motorcade around the heritage town of Boac. Then a thanksgiving mass at the MSC gym. There would also be a blessing of the CEASS Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) and Senior High School (SHS) Buildings. And before the highlight of the platinum anniversary of MSC, there would be an opening of the Local Heritage Tour and ribbon-cutting of the MSC Museum with its inaugural historical exhibit.

The highlight of the 70 th foundation anniversary of the College is the awarding of plaques of appreciation to MSC officer in-charge, MSC Presidents, MSC bill authors and the distinguished alumni award. The momentous occasion would be capped with a cultural night and welcome dinner. Other corollary activities of the platinum foundation of MSC are as follows: the Book Nook Marinduque “Hibla Local Filipina” Summer Art Workshop from May 30 to June 21 at the MSC Extramural Study Center in Brgy. Capayang, Mogpog, Marinduque. Then the Joint-Seminar of the Marinduque Studies Center with the Cavite Studies Center carried out last June 1-3 with the technical assistance of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). There was also a Conversation on Conservation with Ar. Maynard Muhi, Ar. Roy Manrique, Ar. Marjonier Malabanan, Ar. Giles Sol and Ar. Beda Magturo.

MSC gives Tribute to past Office-in-charge, Presidents and Bill authors during its Platinum anniversary

Boac, Marinduque – The lone state college in the province is celebrated its 70th foundation anniversary (platinum anniversary) last June 21 with the theme of MSC@70: Gearing Towards a University Maturity, Genuine Service to Humanity, and Intellectual Courtesy. In the morning, there was a motorcade in the heritage town of Boac, that consist of the MSC employees, students, teachers, and the whole community of MSC. After that thanksgiving mass was held at the MSC gymnasium. The new buildings of the College of Education, Arts and Social Sciences (CEASS) Technology Livelihood Education (TLE) and Senior High School  (SHS) were blessed. There was also ribbon-cutting ceremony for the MSC Museum’s inaugural historical exhibit as well as the opening of the local heritage tour featuring the Cong. Panfilo Manguera Jr and Governor Carmencita Reyes memorabilia.

In the afternoon, the Commemorative Program for the Platinum Anniversary Celebration took place at the MSC gymnasium. The event opened with the MSC Culture and Arts Unit performance of a doxology, followed by the MSC Marching Band playing the Philippine National Anthem, Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta, SUC President III of MSC, took the stage with his Welcome Remarks and followed by Hon. Presbitero. J. Velasco Jr., Governor of the Province of Marinduque represented by Sangguniang Panlalawigan John Fernandez Jr. delivered a Word of Wisdom. The program went on with  the MSC Culture and Arts Unit performing a Special Number, and finally the Keynote speech of Hon. Lord Allan Jay Q. Velasco, Speaker of the House of Representatives and Representative of the Lone District of Marinduque was imparted by provincial administrator Michael Vincent Velasco.

The awarding of plaques of appreciation to the MSC officer in charge, MSC Presidents, MSC bill authors, and the distinguished alumni award was the highlight of the MSC platinum anniversary. After the awarding of Plaques to MSC OICs, Presidents, and Bill authors, the MSC Culture and Arts Unit performed an intermission number, followed by the awarding for the Distinguished Alumni, Polytechnic University of the Philippines president Dr. Manuel Muhi. The PUP president and MSC distinguished alumni expressed his commendations to the College with a recorded message.  Following the MSC hymn performed by the MSC Marching Band, a ceremonial toast punctuated the Event. The Cultural night and welcome dinner concluded the event in the evening with exemplar performances by the Gasan Pangkat Kalutang and teaching personnel and non-teaching staff dedicated song numbers to the honorees.
