Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — On December 18, 2024, Marinduque State University (MarSU) celebrated the closing of another successful academic year with a vibrant year-end party held at the MarSU Gymnasium, Boac, Marinduuqe. The event, attended by students, faculty, and staff, was a joyous occasion filled with music, dance, games, and camaraderie wearing vibrant and creative Christmas outfits.

The evening kicked off with a welcome address by the university president, who expressed gratitude for the hard work and dedication of the university community throughout the year.

The HRMU also conducted the Salamat! Mabuhay program for the 4 retirees which include faculty members from the College of Industrial Technology: Mr. Estanislao Malagotnot, Jr and Mr. Ruben Labay, and for the non-teaching group, Mr. Aquilino Lamarca (Boac Campus) and Mr. Dante Palenzuela (Torrijos Campus) for their extraordinary years of service to the university.

After the heartfelt program for the retirees, the event continued with the performances of the colleges for the chorale competition which gave additional delight to the audiences with their lively rendition of Christmas songs.

In addition to the entertainment, attendees enjoyed a sumptuous feast featuring local delicacies and festive treats. There were also raffle prizes for the attendees, adding more joy to the lucky winners of the draw.

The event provided an opportunity for the university community to come together, reflect on the past year, and look forward to the future with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
The year-end party was a resounding success, leaving everyone in high spirits and eager for the adventures and challenges of the coming year.
