Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — As the institution continuously upgrades its facilities and equipment, the MarSU College of Engineering inspected the newly delivered digital hydraulic bench and structures platform worth P11,940,000.00 at the College of Engineering Building, Boac, Marinduque on September 17, 2024. The procurement of said equipment is under the “Improvement of Civil Engineering Laboratory Equipment at MSC” Project granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
In attendance during the delivery and inspection were the faculty members and students of the College of Engineering headed by its Dean, Engr. Melito L. Hirondo together with Ms. Jessica Mabiog (OIC-Head, Supply and Property Management Office), Mr. Dennis Mansalapus (IT Officer), Mr. Jonard M. Agcaoili (SPMO Admin Officer), and Engr. Pablito Natal (Inspection Committee). The supplier for the project is the State Alliance Enterprises Inc.
The addition of laboratory equipment for students will enable them to understand the hydraulic principles in a digital environment, which is part of the MarSU’s commitment to providing industry-relevant education.
This is all possible with the guidance of MSC-Board of Trustees during its approval in year 2023 together with the endless support and commitment of University President, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta along with the MarSU key officials who facilitated the process such as Atty. Crispin Francis M. Jandusay-VP for Administration and Finance/BAC Chairperson, Asst. Prof. Raoul J. Magcamit (Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Asso. Prof. Alfredo M. Ofrecio III (Director for Financial Services).
MarSU is truly grateful to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) led by its Chairperson, Hon. J. Prospero E. De Vera III for this project. MarSU students and faculty members are now ready to face the rapid development of the civil engineering program.
