Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — To commemorate the National Literature Month this April, Marinduque State College held a Literature Festival at the MSC Learning Resource Center (LRC) on April 5, 2024. The activity was led by the BA English Language Studies (BAELS) interns and hosted by Nicole P. Jarabe & Rachel Real.

The event, organized by MSC’s Sentro ng Wika at Kultura, and Litera Club under the guidance of Dr. Randy T. Nobleza, was attended by First and Second-year BAELS students of MSC and selected Grades 4-5 students of Tanza Elementary School together with their teacher, Ms. Rochelle Jalamanan.

Student-authors Rhyan Constantino, Vianca May Narito, and Arnela Laririt from the College of Arts and Social Sciences, delivered their video messages as their written manuscripts were presented during the event, followed by the presentation of the MARSU Catalogue.

The grade-schoolers were then treated to the storytelling of “Gintong Barko/Gintong Baka” written by Ms. Arnela Laririt.

Mr. Jayven Nares, CASS College Lecturer, closed the event with a brief inspirational message.

It was indeed a fun-filled experience for the pupils who witnessed the presentations of MSC community for this Literature Festival.
