Makati, Philippines — In a significant gathering of SUC officials and Regional Line Agencies in MIMAROPA, Prof. Diosdado P. Zulueta (MarSU President) attended the 50th Governing Board Meeting of the MIMAROPA Health Research and Development Consortium (MHRDC) and 56th Consortium Executive Council Meeting of the Southern Tagalog Islands Research and Development Consortium (STIRDC) on November 5, 2024, at the City Garden Hotel, Makati City.

Together with PDPZ were Asso. Prof. Alfred M. Ofrecio III (Chief, PMS & Director of Financial Services) and Dr. Ma. Edelwina M. Blasé (Vice President for Research and Extension).

The 50th GB Meeting highlighted the Financial Report, 2024 3rd Quarter MHRDC Accomplishments, updates on In-House Reviewed Project Proposals and announcements regarding upcoming activities, which was presided by Dr. Eddie G. Fetalvero, Consortium Director of MHRDC alongside Dr. Ma. Josefina P. Abilay, DOST Regional Director and Co-Chair of MHRDC.

On the other hand, Dr. Marjorie A. Española, Consortium Director of STIRDC, and Dr. Ma. Josefina P. Abilay, Co-Chair of STIRDC presided the afternoon session of the 56th CEC Meeting of STIRDC.

The body tackled the Accomplishment Report for the 3rd Quarter of CT 2024, Financial Report for the 3rd Quarter of CY 2024, Disbursement of 2024 Honoraria, and other matters.

After discussing all the agenda items, the meeting ended with the same enthusiasm and commitment to achieving the regional consortia’s common goals.
