Boac, Marinduque, Philippines — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) MIMAROPA officially turned over the project “Shared Service Facility: Food Testing Center” to its cooperator, Marinduque State University (MarSU) on July 9, 2024 in Tanza, Boac, Marinduque. This SSF project has greatly benefitted the students particularly the Food Technology students along with other stakeholders.

The event was graced by key officials including DTI MIMAROPA Regional Director, Rudy Mariposque; DTI Provincial Director, Dr. Roniel Macatol; VP for Student Affairs Services, Mr. Marvin Plata; KTTO Director, Engr. Edgardo Laririt; and Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, Mr. Mario Mascareñas.

In his speech, RD Mariposque highlighted the importance of collaboration and linkages between academia and industry. Mr. Marvin Plata, representing Dr. Zulueta, graciously accepted the equipment and reaffirmed our commitment to this vital initiative.

The successful turnover of the SSF project marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between DTI and MarSU. As the project progresses, it is expected to drive further innovation and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.
